인간이 행복과 진정한 심령 속의 평안은 감사의 결정체인 하나님의 강한 은혜를 느낄 때다. 마리아는 자기같이 보잘것없는, 죄에 지들은, 자기는 이미 약혼자가 있는데 메시아의 모친이 되게 하는 거룩하신 하나님의 크신 능력에 너무나도 감사했다. 이것은 자신의 능력이 아니라 하나님의 능력이라고 굳게 믿었으니 그녀에겐 하나님을 찬양할 수밖에 더 있는가? 출산 후에 사람들이 그녀를 메시아의 어머니라고 칭하고 축복을 받을 생각을 하니 그녀의 마음은 지상 최대로 행복해 했는지도 모른다. 시편 103편엔 여호와는 자기를 경외하는 자에게 여호와의 인자하심이 영원히 거한다고 쓰여 있다. 교만한 자를 멸하고 겸손한 자를 복 주시는 하나님이신지라 하나님은 우리가 겸손의 바다에서 하나님을 찬양하는 것을 기뻐하시리라.

48.그 계집종의 비천(卑賤)함을 돌아보셨음이라. 이제 후로는 만세(萬世)에 나를 복이 있다 일컬으리로다. 49.능하신 이가 큰일을 내게 행하셨으니 그 이름이 거룩하시며 50.긍휼하심이 두려워하는 자에게 대대로 이르는도다. 51.그의 팔로 힘을 보이사 마음의 생각이 교만(驕慢)한 자들을 흩으셨고.[누가복음 1:48-51]

■Structure & Vocabulary
